Meet Mike Noack

Truck driver. 32 years in Kankakee County. A neighbor who got tired of waiting for someone else to step up.

Why I’m Running

I’m a truck driver from Bonfield, Illinois — a village of about 400 people where everybody knows everybody. When someone’s furnace breaks in January, a neighbor shows up with a space heater before anyone has to ask. That’s the kind of place I’ve called home for 32 years, and those are the values I want to take to Washington.

My name is Mike Noack. I drive a truck for a living. I’ve been doing it for years, logging miles on the highways of this district and across the country. I know what it’s like to feel that 52-cent gas tax hike every single time you fill up. I know what it’s like to stretch a paycheck, to sit at the kitchen table running the numbers on whether you can afford to fix the rig this month or next. That’s not a campaign story I rehearsed. That’s Tuesday. And it’s the same life most families across Illinois’ 2nd District are living.

A number of years ago, my wife and I were driving when the news came on and got me worked up. She looked at me and said, “Instead of complaining about it, why don’t you do something about it?” I just looked at her. I’m nobody. We don’t have money. Who am I? How am I going to make a difference?

I never planned to run for Congress. I’m a trucker, not a politician. I always figured somebody more qualified would step up and fight for us. But after years of watching the same cycle — politicians making promises on the campaign trail, then disappearing into Washington to serve the people who write the biggest checks — I stopped waiting. Nobody was coming to save this district. So I decided to go myself.

Here’s what pushed me over the edge: groceries up 30% while Congress debates sending billions overseas. Veterans in our community waiting months for basic care they earned with their service. Working families getting squeezed by the highest property taxes in the nation to fund programs nobody asked for and nobody can explain. And every time I turned on the news, the people who were supposed to represent us were talking about everything except the things that actually matter to the folks in Kankakee County, the south suburbs, and the South Side.

I’m not polished. I don’t have a law degree or a political pedigree. I have a CDL and 32 years of living in this community. My wife is from Japan — so when I talk about legal immigration, it’s not some abstract policy debate for me. It’s personal. I’ve seen firsthand how complicated and broken the system is for people who want to do things the right way. I know what keeps families up at night because the same things keep me up.

I believe every tax dollar should be accounted for. I believe your constitutional rights are not up for negotiation. And I believe that when you send someone to Congress, they owe you an honest answer about every vote they cast — no exceptions.

This campaign is simple: the people of IL-2 deserve a representative who lives like they do, works like they do, and answers to them — not to party bosses, not to lobbyists, not to anyone with a checkbook. If that sounds like the kind of representation you’ve been missing, I’m asking you to join this fight.

What I Stand For

These are not poll-tested talking points. These are the principles I live by — and the promises I will keep.

Fiscal Responsibility

Every family in this district balances a budget. Washington should do the same. I will fight to cut wasteful spending, lower taxes on working families, and stop Congress from burying the next generation under a mountain of debt for programs that benefit the connected few.

Individual Liberty

Your rights come from God, not from the government. The Constitution does not grant them — it protects them. I will defend the Second Amendment, protect your privacy, and oppose every attempt to expand government control over your life and your choices.

Community First

I have lived in Kankakee County for 32 years. I shop at the same stores you do. My family goes to the same schools, drives the same roads, and deals with the same problems. My loyalty belongs to the families and small towns of IL-2 — and no one in Washington will ever change that.

Accountability

You deserve to know exactly how your representative votes and why. No dodging questions. No hiding behind staff. I will hold regular town halls, publish every vote, and give you a straight answer — even when it’s not the easy one. That’s the bare minimum, and it’s past time we demanded it.

Meet the Noack Family

Mike with his wife, daughter, and mother-in-law. Family is everything.

I drive a truck for a living. I’m not the most polished guy in the room, and I don’t pretend to be. But I know what it costs to fill a tank, feed a family, and keep the lights on. The people in this district don’t need another smooth talker in a suit. They need someone who shows up, tells the truth, and fights like hell for the folks back home. That’s what I intend to do.

Stand With Mike

This campaign runs on people, not PACs. Every dollar donated and every hour volunteered brings IL-2 one step closer to having a representative who actually fights for working families.
